I would just like to compliment you on writing such an astonishing novel. I have to say what I found most intriguing about it was I could not easily predict what would happen next, Which motivated me to keep reading until it’s completion within less than 48 hours. I think the characters and plot were well thought of and put together. I love the way you gave us the audience the opportunity to get to know each and every character personally.
The characters although fictional came across as an actual person we all may know in our life. Showing the daily challenges faced such as temptation, peer pressure, being a son, daughter, or being a spouse. As simple as these things seem; if we the least bit incautious we can face adverse effects as Ferguson.
It came as if his life changed overnight.  Watching such a strong and successful person who has status in society struggle for freedom and life can be seen as encouragement to others as we all go through some tough situations where it doesn’t seem as if there is a light at the end of the tunnel. You reinforce what we should always keep in mind that goodness always prevails. So thanks for an enjoyable novel, and I look forward to future novels from you.

I absolutely adore this book.
I like the way that the author describes every aspect of the book.
for someone like me who has never been exposed to caribbean novels this book gives me an introduction into this kind of writing.
I am waiting for the continuation to this book. i would have liked the book to be 20pages longer but the suspence for the next book is greatly anticipated.  S.B.

Great book that I would recommend to anyone! Guilty is the most exciting novel that I have read in a while... a nice break from academic books. The action was hype throughout the entire book.

NCF Readin

The NCF Readin was a wonderful event  showcasing Barbados' local talent seasoned and fresh, from The Mighty Gabby to Billy Kincaid. The evening was highly entertaining, with folk singing, contemporary singing ,poetry et al and enjoyed by all in attendance on the lovely grounds of the George Washington House. Arts and craft were also on sale.
I was there promoting 'Guilty' which was on sale courtesy the NCF and taking in the show. I was pleasantly surprised to observe a woman ,unknown to me, approach the display of books and spontaneously point to 'Guilty' and say 'that's a good book'. It was for me a huge unsolicited compliment and made the evening for me.
Thanks to the NCF and to readers who chose to purchase and read my book. Keep spreading the word.

Guilty Launch Report

Guilty -The Trials of Phil Ferguson had a wonderful launch on 1st July 2011 at the C.O.B. Credit Union
on Lower Broad St.
The atmosphere was set by soothing pan playing by Harry Russell the author's father.
The book was introduced by the book's publisher Carol Pitt who was even good enough to offer some fabulous readings from the book ,full of expression and life. The author offered readings as well.
Also present was Ms. Kelly Hunte, President of the Optimists Club.
A lot of interest  was generated in the book, with one woman bursting with enthusiasm as she bought the book. She couldn't wait to get out the line where she was doing her business so that she could get the book. Others purchased books and had them signed by the author while others got copies signed that they had purchased before.
There was also a giveaway where one purchaser was surprised to find the copy she was paying for was free. She decided to make a donation to the charity
The event was also covered by the business section of the Nation newspaper.

A sincere thanks to Mr.Winston Alleyne and the staff and management of C.O.B. Credit Union Bridgetown for hosting the event and all the assistance in promoting the event.
Thanks also goes out to all the readers who bought copies of the book.

The book's called Guilty
Due for release next month.
Critically reviewed by Sandra Sealy and Andy Taitt- Guess what ? They like it
Here's what they had to say-
Life on a small Caribbean island is reputed to be slow, but the action in this contemporary suspense novel sure isn't. Expect an interesting entanglement of sub-plots as you work out that Phil Ferguson is not the only guilty one. Meet supporting characters that have sound and intriguing justifications for their actions. How refreshing to see a slice of reality in this portrayal of the lives of Caribbean professionals (set in Barbados). A tantalizing read - Sandra Sealy,Award-winning Literary Artist ,Spoken-word Artist,Tutor,Editor

'Guilty!'is a fast-paced thriller which zips along in a frenetic rush through entrapment and betrayal to destruction and survival fueled by arrogance, pride and scheming women still willin to forgive and to love. This is the start of a promising writer.
Andy Taitt-Bookseller

Those who have seen the preview copy LOVE IT.
Look out for the launch
